Mary Nielsen is an award winning author, lifelong educator, writer, and proud grandmother whose children’s books are inspired by the imaginative adventures of her grandchildren and the antics of her two rescued cats. Drawing from real family moments—whether it’s a magical propeller cap, an enchanted red collar, or the everyday courage of her granddaughter Yoey, who lives with Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome—Mary creates warm, whimsical stories filled with curiosity, resilience, and heart.

After years of authoring educational texts for estheticians, she has joyfully expanded into children’s literature, celebrating the magic found in family, pets, and the belief that every child’s journey is worth telling.
